Built Areas 2011
This map represents the built up area with residences and businesses in the Upper Swan Valley. It was generated using local structure mapping being conducted to develop E911 system. The structures are alomst all mapped with GPS by local fire personnel and resource managers. The project is a work in process to correctly attribute the structures. This specific layer was generated by adding a quarter mile buffer around the structures. A few individual structure buffers were removed when they were widely separated from other residences. The structure layer has not been released for public use at this time.
This map layer was derived from base data developed and/or acquired by local residents of the Swan Valley as part of their base map data. Metadata is not available, but further details on development and maintenance of the layer can be obtained by contacting the Upper Swan Community Council care of the current chair Dwayne Forder via email at dwayneforder@hotmail.com. The vintage of the data is 2010-2011, and some layers may be of older vintage.
