This map layer was derived from base data developed and/or acquired by local residents of the Swan Valley as part of their base map data. Metadata is not available, but further details on development and maintenance of the layer can be obtained by contacting the Upper Swan Community Council care of the current chair Dwayne Forder via email at dwayneforder@hotmail.com. The vintage of the data is 2010-2011, and some layers may be of older vintage.

This homestead layer was are taken from public records available from the Forest Service mapped in an approximate way from the legal description from the original Homestead Grant application by local residents. This does not represent a legal survey and should not be used in any manner to represent a legal survey. You must contact a Registered Montana Land Surveyor for that purpose.
