This website is set up to assist communities, local governments and citizens in developing and sharing maps and data to encourage sustainable communities. These include economic development, education, energy, environment, health, local food, transportation and sustainable lifestyles.
Community matters. We are excited and encourged about collaborative web mapping, and sharing community maps with each other. We advocate using Esri ArcGIS Online as the most powerful, yet simple web mapping system for community mapping collaboration. ArcGIS Online is a free service provided by Esri, and complemented by free mapping tools.
Geodata Services is not an Internet application services provider. We provide GIS services. We maintain an ArcGIS for Organizations site, and assist others in implementing and developing their own. We author and provide community web maps. We provide custom demographic and socioeconomic analysis, using Esri Community Analyst and Business Analyst, recently identified in an independent academic analysis by top university researchers as the most accurate data in the US. We have certified CTT+, Esri and CommunityViz trainers and consultants on staff and fully support our services with ongoing training opportunities.
